The 13th edition of the Aquaculture Roundtable Series (TARS) 2024, focusing on Finfish Aquaculture, successfully gathered 210 stakeholders from 25 countries. August 2024: According to Morningstar,  investors pulled $4.7 billion from US sustainable funds in the second quarter of 2024, making it the seventh-consecutive quarter of outflows. These outflows, however, were half of those experienced in the first quarter, which amounted to almost $9 billion.

May 2024: Malaysia’s Obesity Epidemic.

The World Obesity Foundation reports that more than two out of every three children in Malaysia will be overweight by 2035.  Also, the Malaysia National Health and Morbidity Survey 2023 (NHMS) says:

1.  Some 54.4 per cent of Malaysian adults are overweight and obese, which is a 10 per cent increase from the 44.5 per cent figure reported in the 2011 NHMS;
2. Only 4.9 per cent of adults consumed the recommended daily servings of fruit and vegetables while 29.9 per cent of adults were physically inactive.
